How I Went From Personal Crisis to Deeper Spiritual Connection

News + New Good Things from Tia Norman

"Spiritual growth is not about addition but about subtraction. It is not about becoming more but becoming less—less of the ego, less of the unnecessary."

-Meister Eckhart

Peaceful, Centered + Connected

When I reflect on my journey to Centering Prayer and contemplative practices, one period stands out vividly—a time marked by both personal and professional crises. Many of the relationships I cherished were undergoing significant changes; some were even coming to an end. Simultaneously, I found myself grappling with a profound sense of purposelessness. While my work was engaging and interesting, it lacked true fulfillment. Each day, I woke up with a sense of dread, feeling disconnected from my work and dissatisfied with my relationships.

Have you experienced periods of loss and uncertainty? How have they impacted you? The spiritual journey often feels like an inversion of our expectations, where loss can transform into gain.

In my new course, I delve into how this tumultuous period of personal and professional crisis guided me to practices that helped me navigate uncertain times. These practices have not only fostered a deeper relationship with myself but have also strengthened my connections with others and with God.

Join me to explore how Centering Prayer can be a transformative tool in your spiritual journey.

Words from previous participants

"I found all sessions helpful, so much one could do a deep dive in. Sessions 5 - Divine Therapy and Session 6 - True Self were both quite helpful to me at this particular stage in my life. I'm intrigued with where spirit and psyche/psychology intersect from a contemplative Christian spirituality framework. I also appreciated Tia's willingness to share some of her own lived experiences on her journey with centering prayer/contemplative spirituality."

I have clickety-clacked the letters on this keyboard forward and then deleted everything with one swift highlight of the mouse and a single tap of the backspace key. What is one thing I might offer? It has boiled down to this. You can have peace in knowing we are all allowed our preferences...

News + New Good Things from Tia Norman New + Good Things Hello friends! I have two new and good things to share with you in between my regularly scheduled letters this month. It’s an honor to be recognized for the work we're doing together as a community, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring...
